Let’s Dish About Dishes

I love dishes.

Fat ones, skinny ones, round ones, square ones. White ones, red ones, green ones, black ones. They are all beautiful in my eyes.

I also love knives, spoons, forks, and the occasional cheese spreader. It’s even better if they’re silver.

And then there’s the gloriousness that is glassware — Murano and Waterford goblets. Antique etched glass and Sandwich glass.

Linens. There is no such thing as too many tablecloths and napkins. In as many colors as possible.

To paraphrase an old saying, “She who dies with the most dishes wins.” And I have every intention of winning. Unless, of course, I’m up against Martha Stewart, in which case I’ll lose. She’s got more dishes than me because she bought new houses to hold her dishes. She’s probably got more dishes than the President. I’m just sayin.’

The plan is to connect via this blog with my peeps — the ones who set their tables for fun. You know who you are.
